History of Table Saws in Teaching- It wasnt until after World War 2 that industrial technology education really took off. So it wasnt until post war that school would have seen these tools or the table saw in their schools across the country. The first saws were often very dangerous so this would have prevented schools from using these as well. Current use of Table Saws in Teaching- The current use of table saws in teaching would be in your woods or cabintry classes. Students would use these while making projects to cut down the material to the correct lengths. Table saws today are very safe to use. Especially the Saw Stop table saw. It is replacing most older saws in schools across the country. It minimizes the risk of student injury by allowing the blade to stop in milliseconds. Future use of Table Saws in Teaching- I do not see the use of table saws changing much in the future. Other than i believe it will become more common to see schools have these and have students using them in the classroom. As far as safety in the future. Saws today are about as safe as they are going to get i believe. Being able to stop the blade in millisenconds is the number one concern since that is what injures the students when usign this tool.
